Havlock Islands

This Island, with beautiful sandy beaches fringed with green canopy of the rain forest beckons everyone to enjoy to enjoy the fun at the azure sea. RADHA NAGAR BEACH, lies on the south coast of Havelock Island. It is about 14 kms away from the islands ferry quay. The beautiful sandy beaches and lush green forest. Radha Nagar is a real exposure to the unpolluted nature for an environment lover. Radha Nagar is a Grade A beach of outstanding quality. This beach is also rated as the best beach in Asia by TIME MAGAZINE. It has overall length of two kilometers and an average width of 30 to 40 meters. The sand is white coral, very fine in grain. The beach has a mild ascent of around 1:20 and continues out into the sea as a sandy bottom for over 100 meters. South facing, the beach has excellent exposure and is not subject to shading which could reduce its attraction for sunbathing.

Cellular Jail

The Cellular jail situated in Port Blair, Andaman Islands is closely associated with the freedom struggle of India. The Cellular jail, built in 1896 was used by the British to transport Indian freedom fighters from the Indian mainland. Thousands of freedom fighters languished for years in solitary confinement in the cells of the Cellular Jail. Today, the Cellular Jail is declared as the National Memorial, a tribute to those who dared to raise their voices against the British rule. Some of the famous inmates of the Cellular jail were Vinayak Damodar Savarkar, Dr. Diwan Singh Kalepani, Yogendra Shukla, Bhai Parmanand, and Maulana Ahmadullah.The saga of the heroic freedom struggle is brought alive in a moving Sound & Light show at the Cellular Jail. The show is conducted every evening in the premises of Cellular jail which gives us a brief idea about the happenings in the jail prior to Independence in 1947.

Ross Island

Once the seat of British power and capital of these Islands from 1858 till 1941,when the Japanese occupied it and converted it into PoW site. it stands now a ruin of the bygone days with the old structures of the Church and the Chief Commissioner’s bunglow, swimming pool etc in debris. This small Island in less than a sq. km area that stands right across Port Blair, encompassing in a way the entire life of the Andamans. It was once the home of the indigenous tribe Great Andamanese, whose number dwindled from 5,000 to just 28 with in 20 years of the initial British occupation A small museum named ‘Smritika’ hold photographs, and other antiques of the British relevant to these islands.

Viper Island

The Island derives its name from the vessel ‘Viper’ in which Lt. Archibald Blair came to the Islands in 1768 with the purpose of establishing a penal Settlement. The vessel, it is believed, met an accident and its wreckage was abandoned near the island, Sher Ali, the Pathan, guilty of murdering Lord Mayao, was condemned to death and hanged at Viper Island. The Jail at Viper, where prisoners deported from the mainland were confined, was built by the British under the supervision of Major Fort. Work on the prison was started in 1867. Owing to the working condition, the Jail earned the notorious name Viper Chain Gang Jail. Harbor cruise provides a unique experience of cruise along the Harbor in a boat from Ross Island. The panoramic view of seven points from sea, harbor, the floating dock, Viper Island, etc, are memorable.

North Bay

While at Port Blair, the nearest place to view the corals and enchanting marine life is North Bay, at the foothills of Mount Harriet. Coral and marine life can be seen by snorkeling or with the help of glass bottom boats swimming should be limited to the shallow waters near the beach.Another attraction here is different water sports like Jet ski, banana ride, sofa ride and the new addition is sea walker one of its kind in India. Only avilable at North Bay Island.

Mount. Herriet

Mount Harriet it is the highest peak in the South Andaman’s (365 meters high). Once the Summer Headquarters of the Chief Commissioner during British Raj, this place is ideal for fascinating over view of the nearby islands and the sea.Recomended to visit this place in the evening while the sun sets in the ocean making it a heavenly view from the top.

Anthropological Museum

ANTHROPOLOGICAL MUSEUM: The anthropological museum was set up at Port Blair to document, preserve and display the cultural heritage of the people of these islands. The pre-colonial inhabitants of these islands were the great andamanese, onges, jarawas, sentinelese, shompens, and the nicobarese. This museum depicts the life of the tribes of these islands

Samudrika Museum

Samudrika Museum is run by the Indian Navy. The Museum has 5 sections: history of the islands, their geography, people, marine life and archaeology. The Museum also houses an impressive display of coral and shells, and a large relief map of topography in Andaman & Nicobar Islands.

Carbyn's Cove Beach

Carbyn's Cove is a serene and unspoiled soft sandy beach in Andaman near to Port Blair. Carbyn's cove gets its name due to its unique shape, being one of its kind in the country and is named after Carbyn Chaplain of Port Blair This beach is set in picturesque backgrounds of lush green coconut palms and pleasant sea. There is a pristine tourism Complex, which offers all kinds of facilities for an enthusiastic traveler. This is an ideal spot for sun basking and sea bathing. The main attractions in this beach are the inviting water sports activities. This beach and the water closed to the beach are perfect location for surfing, scuba diving and boating. Many pill boxes and bunkers established by Japanese add the attraction of the beach.

Rajiv Gandhi Water Sports Complex

Andaman Water Sports Complex offers all kinds of water sports facilities: Sail boats, para sailing, water scooters, rowing boats, kayaks, paddle boats, water skiing facilities etc.,. Boating from this complex up to the Ross Island is really an exciting experience. There is also a Sea water swimming pool and a change room. There is an artificial waterfall as well, which is a great attraction among the visitors. A children park nearby is a place for children to enjoy the serene environment. There is also a Memorial for the Battle of Aberdeen fought between Britishers and Andamanese aboriginals in 1859.

Gandhi Park

Gandhi Park is a blend of natural brilliance, artificial creations and historical monuments. Gandhi Park has artificially but well maintained gardens, restaurants and a lake.Gandhi Park has facilities like Children's park, amusement park, water sports, nature trail, lake, garden, restaurant etc., Gandhi Park has Deer and Bird park. The Deer Park hosts a wide variety of deers – spotted deer, hog deer, barking deer, Sambar to name a few. The Bird park is made colourful by birds like long-tailed and red-breasted parakeets, grey-fronted and imperial green pigeons, vernal hanging parrot, etc., Gandhi Park has immense historical significance as it has a Japanese temple and a bunker, both built by the Japanese during the second World War.
